How to get your health in order

I was 16 at my family lake house eating my second sleeve of Oreos.

My uncle looked at me and said, "Must be nice to eat whatever you want all the time."

I chuckled and told him that's just how my body worked. It would be like that forever...

Now I'm 29. If I go just a few days eating junk and not exercising, I can see and feel it immediately.

That's why I had to put systems in place to make sure I don't do that. Or at the very least, if I do do that then I can bounce back quickly.

A couple of months ago my friend suggested I make a tier list. A simple set of rules for my body.

It's been crucial in my sticking to healthy habits.

I'll share my current list with you and challenge you to build your own.

Write or type a list divided into the big health categories: diet, exercise, sleep, and screens.

Then for each of those, list your non-negotiables, your more-often-than-nots, and your exceptions.

Here are mine.

Am I absolutely perfect with these every single day?

No.

But having these tiers guides me in the direction of the person I want to be.

What are yours?
